4A- Forming An Opportunity Belief

I believe there is a unmeet needs in tobacco products like cigarettes or a Juul. Many people are starting at a younger age to smoke tobacco products and even inside public buildings. There is proof that the use of tobacco does have a connection to lung cancer or even being around it and having second hand smoke, www.mskcc.org. 80-90% of people that smoke with tobacco products get lung cancer. Out of that percent 23% of them are men. With having Juul to prevent tobacco use it only opened up the doors for younger people to try it and get addicted to it. Many kids to it in the library, cafeteria, and in many offices. The tobacco becomes apart of them but it is only harming them in the long run. Studies show that 16 times the amount of teenagers are likely to smoke tobacco products based off of a Juul. Many people do not look at it as an opportunity but in the later years people definitely realize they need to change for the better.

Reflection:
Whether you are old or young people do or have smoked tobacco products. What I have learned was in my friends Italian grandpa their culture is set up differently and have tobacco as a more social use at a much younger age. My mom friend is in her mid fifties and clearly is taking action to prevent any harm to her. My friend Dylan he smokes the Juul to have fun while going out but did not know all the health risks behind it.

Summary:
I still think there is an opportunity that needs to be changed. Only a small percentage of people know the health risks that go along with tobacco products. Being more educated before engaging in this type of act would definitely switch the statistics on if a person will smoke a tobacco product or not. By using these answers it helps me, an entrepreneur to develop solutions for these opportunities that people face day to day. By going off the main purpose of tobacco use I will then have to branch out in different sectors to fully get my solution fulfilled. Many people have their own perspective on tobacco use but by simply educating them before can make an impact before use.

  1. Hey Janan! I agree with your research in particular I enjoyed the people you chose to do the interview with. They all were extremely diverse with the experience of smoking or not smoking. Along with the responses I can tell that some people were clueless or very stubborn in their certain living circumstances. This is a problem in today's world.
