2A-Bug List

1. No air-conditioning in many Turkish homes in Europe.
WHY it exists: The nights get fairly cooler and they simply open the windows and many people are not home during the days so the hot air does not affect them during the day. The cost of air-conditioning is also a costly factor in this country.

2. The RTS bus route is not accurate on the weekend.
WHY it exists: There is less staff on the weekend leading to less bus drivers. This then thinking a bus will come in 15 minutes normally during the week will come around 30 minutes on the weekend.

3. Going to Forever 21 in the Sawgrass Mills Mall and nothing is organized.
WHY it exists: With having many tourists going to this mall, staff members can only do so much in their shift. Staff can never keep it organized unless they hire more people or put more people on their floor for each shift.

4. Waiting for a table at Outback Steakhouse in Coral Springs on a Friday night.
WHY it exists: Most people go out on Friday so there will be a high influx of people and the willingness to want to stay for their food.

5. Leaving a person on read in a text message.
WHY it exists: The receiver thinks the conversation is done or simply thinks the conversation is going no were and doesn't reply.

6. Ordering pizza at Domino's in Gainesville at 2 a.m. and them saying it will take 15 minutes but takes longer.
WHY it exists: There is a peak in orders at this time since many people are hungry from the bars and Domino's is understaffed at this time.

7. University of Florida's narrow auditorium isles when taking exams.
WHY it exists: Maximizing the amount of people per testing center knowing that for testing it is every other seat while taking an exam at the university.

8. Asking someone for their WIFI password.
WHY it exists: This secures someone's personal accounts that are linked with this wifi, but it is also nice that if you just unlock your phone and have your bluetooth on someone can airdrop the password to you and you will now have it.

9. Stepping on gum.
WHY it exists:  Most people do not see or do not care to throw their gum in a bin when they are done with it so they simply throw it on the sidewalk with different colors that you might step on that will stick to your shoes.

10. Still having popcorn kernels at the bottom of the bag.
WHY it exists: While following the directions on the bag it all depends on the placement of the kernels inside the bag. If the kernel is placed where no much heat is getting to it, it will not pop.

11. Canvas wants to do a maintenance the last week of school.
WHY it exists: The University knows that students are going to check their final or close to final grades this week and want to make sure everything goes smoothly for them, but by having one day shut down makes students very anxious and stressed.

12. No toilet paper in a bathroom stall.
WHY it exists:  Depending on when the cleaning is done might affect the stock of rolls of toilet paper. This could also mean that this bathroom gets more traffic than others and needs to be restocked much more frequently than the others.

13. Misplacing your home or car keys.
WHY it exists: Having so much on your mind day to day you tend to forget the simple things that come naturally to you.

14. Wearing white shoes on a rainy day.
WHY it exists: No one rarely checks the weather to compose their outfit for the day and they hope their shoes will still be in good condition.

15. When you pet a dog and your hand is covered in its hair.
WHY it exists: Most dogs do shed. To try and prevent this there are different brushes that one can buy or you can take your dog to a groomer and shave the hair off.

16. Having to scream on the phone to elder people.
WHY it exists: As we age our hearing goes as well. Most older people are too stubborn to think its not them and they are perfectly fine, the rare few get hearing aids.

17. Going to the McDonalds in Fort Lauderdale and gets more money back from your order.
WHY it exists: People are now programmed to read off a screen that tells you the new amount to the customer. People simply fail to add and do simple math.

18. When you go to Chick-Fil-a on a Sunday and they are closed.
WHY it exists: Chick-Fil-a has embedded in their culture that Sunday's are family day and you can come within Monday-Saturday. Sometimes we forget because we are craving their food.

19. Stubbing your toe on the corner of your bed.
WHY it exists: You know your bed is in the normal spot you just misplaced your foot maybe because of being lazy or not paying attention.

20. Spam e-mail.
WHY it exists: It is a sales and marketing tactic that most stores and companies do with promotions to purchase more products on their site.

Reflection:
I found this assignment a little difficult in the beginning since I had to think like an entrepreneur. When coming up with my 20 "bugs" I then realized how not only this might affect me but other people as well. As I was making my list larger the thought of them took much longer to process. By having why it exists is simply why it does exist but now taking it another step further is to create a solution if there is a problem. By the end of the assignment I sat and read all my "bugs" and became satisfied by all the examples I displayed to try and fix anything for others.
